Back in 2022, I placed a call to Homestead Technology Customer Service number, and at the time, I asked if they could customize a certain page of my website, and they flat-out answered NO. So at that time, I told them that I would no longer be using the website hosting they provided, as I was not happy.
Fast forward to 2026, and I placed a call to them again. This time, my website is down, and when I called my current website manager, they advised me to contact Homestead as they are still the DNS provider for my site. Because I haven't been able to log in to my Homestead account for over 4 years and I no longer have access to the email I used to register, they made me confirm my identity through 'NEWFOLD,' which took several attempts. When I was finally able to log in to my account, of course, everything was down and disabled.
The page I could access showed this huge account balance. Upon reviewing the account, I noticed that they continued to bill me for website hosting despite my request to cancel in 2022. When I tried to dispute the balance, they kept telling me that the only person who can do that is the manager. I tried to get a hold of this so-called manager for days to no avail until today.
This manager's name, 'Ana,' is not only rude and impatient, but she also will not listen to reason at all, even when I tried to tell her that I will only pay for the services I received, and website hosting is not one of them, as I never received the service. She keeps insisting that because it was never canceled out of my account, I am still responsible for paying it, she says, regardless. I tried to explain to her several times that I made the call back in 2022, and if that person did not record the conversation, that is not my problem.
Ana tried to ask what time I called or what the name of the person was, so I told her this was back in 2022; who is going to remember that? Since she won't listen, I told her that I will be submitting a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and since she is in the Philippines and couldn't really help or make a decision, I will then take my complaint on this matter somewhere else, including calling Intuit, who bought the company.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I got through on the phone eventually and they actioned the cancellation and refund d immediately.
I have been trying to cancel my website and get refund for over a week now online. It tells me to phone you - I am in Ireland and it is most inconvenient and expensive to phone you.

I have not been able to receive email in my Homestead hosted mailbox for over four days. I have been on the phone with customer service for two full days and all they can say, after they made the mightiest of efforts to blame ME...
is it will take another two days to fix, or more. The mailbox worked perfectly fine for a month and then simply stopped, and Homestead tried to blame me and the setup procedures I used.
I deleted the maibox twice and followed their instructions to the letter, still no email. Choose a different hosting company, Homestead cannot support a business website sucessfully.

I've been with Homestead ever since it was intuit. 15 Years.
They are and have been the worst ever since they (intuit) sold out. They are all liars and don't care about their client at all. Their server was hacked and my email passwords were stolen in 2018. They told me it was normal but to change my password.
Fishing they said. for 3 days in March 2022 they have stalled in helping me figure out what was going on with my outlook. They eventually told me it was microsoft and to their surprise I called MS and we were on 3 way. They were fulll of *** and my MS 365 tech proved it.
Then they spammed my email with alll kinds of filth. I have 4 different emails mind you and they sent out hundreds of emails from my accounts. Then the real problems started to happen. They locked me out of all my bussiness email and when I called them they said it was because I violated their spam conditions or rules.
They wanted me to send an email of apology and that I would never do that again. What? I will never apologize for what I didn't do. They did it and told me if I didn't their level 3 admin tech told them to tell me to take my business elsewhere.
What lowlife criminals. I should have known when they all speak with thick accents but call themselves. Jake, Mathew, Kathy, Karen and Jocelyn. I hate this company with a passion.
Don't build your websites with them. The owners are crooks too. These people should be shut down.
Don't do it. You come to regret it.

Poor customer service and liars
- I was told to email compliance but not given the email.
- Judelyn, the supervisor, was told about the call.
- There is no phone number for compliance or HQ.
Called and was told to email compliance but never gave me the full email. She told me that Judelyn the supervisor had already told them about me calling.
So I asked how do we get in contact with a Manager and all of the sudden Judelyn is a manager too. No phone number to call for compliance or headquarters. All interactions are recorded and on youtube.

I can't cancel my contract online. I have to use a phone number. I have tried on three different business days: "Not possible to Contact at this time."

I used Homestead Technologies for twenty years and was very happy with them. I understood their formats.
Closed my business. Moved to Portugal. Opened new business. Nothing seems to work.
Got tired of trying to make it work. Went through cancel steps online. Got message: To cancel you must call this 800 number.
I have tried on three different days and always get an operator message: "It is not possible to contact this number at this time." Growing hostile. Will contact my bank to tell them not to honor Homestead's invoice.

- System lands in QuickBooks; Sitebuilder is not accessible, and Wix is recommended.
I have used Homestead for all of my websites since the year 2000. I have built and managed probably 20 websites, so I am not an illiterate fool.
For the last two years, every couple of months Homestead makes you "Verify" your identity to sign into your account and manage your websites... their system makes you fly through a number of hoops, sends you a code, and then dumps you into a QuickBooks Account from which Homestead Sitebuilder is not even accessible! If I wanted to sign into my QuickBooks account, I would! Then, after numerous attempts to sign into your own account, they lock you out.
I have called Tech Support every couple of months for the last two years, just to gain access to my account! HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS of my time wasted. Go to WIX.com, do not waste your time with Homestead. Nobody has time for this kind of nonsense.
Seriously, these people are supposed to be webhosting experts, if they cannot even set up a viable system for identity verification, there is really something wrong. I have had enough. I have started moving all of my websites to WIX.COM and the sooner I can dump Homestead, the better! Don't get trapped building websites with Homestead, because they take a long time to build and when you make the inevitable decision to move over to WIX, you will have to start from scratch.

Homestead.com has illegal website on their server from Zigo Technologies that violates Flexite Company tradrmark. They have been contacted about this matter but have been uncooperative. There is no known address for this Arizona company too.
